All student absences must be substantiated in writing with a parent signature, OR communicated through email to the attendance email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and the school nurse (email@example.com).
The Registrar must receive written documentation accounting for a student's absence within 2 days of a student's return to school.
Note Must Include:
Student First and Last Name
Date(s) of absence
Brief reason for absence*
*Please note that excused absences include illness with a parent or doctor note, religious holidays, funerals or military leave. Family vacations or trips do not meet LISD's "excused" requirements and will be counted un-excused for these days.
